Legends Soweto Derby Postponed, New Date Pending

The much-anticipated Legends Soweto Derby, officially launched at Ellis
Park Stadium on Monday, has been postponed indefinitely.

Organisers Puzzle Pictures released a statement announcing the delay for the
match originally scheduled for February 7th, citing “factors beyond our
control.” No new date has yet been set.

“We wish to inform all valued football supporters that the upcoming match
has been postponed due to matters beyond our control,” the statement read.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate
your understanding.”

The organisers confirmed that a new date will be communicated through
official channels in due course. Supporters who have already purchased
tickets and wish to request a refund are advised to contact Tickepro
directly to follow their standard refund process.

“We thank you for your continued support and patience and look forward to
delivering an unforgettable football experience once the new date is
confirmed,” the statement concluded.

The proposed charity match, featuring former stars from Kaizer Chiefs and
Orlando Pirates, was intended as a precursor to a larger event. The winners
were set to face an international legends side in April.
