Beganovic: FIFA Break Crucial for Mental Reset After Galaxy’s Record Defeat

TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic has emphasized the need to
strengthen his players’ mentality during the upcoming international break,
following his side’s humiliating 6-0 loss to Orlando Pirates.

The heavy defeat, which occurred at the Mombela Stadium in a Betway
Premiership encounter, stands as the Rockets’ worst of the season.

Speaking to the media after the match, Beganovic expressed confidence that
the 15-day break provides a timely opportunity to regroup ahead of their
Nedbank Cup semi-final clash against Milford.

“It’s just part of coaching—we need to find a way to talk with the players,
how to manage everything and find a way to rise from this situation,”
Beganovic said. “It will be tough, obviously, but the FIFA break is coming
at the best time. It gives us 15 days to refresh and recover our team.”

The coach stressed that the focus during this period will extend beyond
physical recovery. “Not only physically, but mentally, we need to prepare
for the remaining 10 games—eight in the league and two in the Nedbank Cup,”
he added.

Galaxy are set to face Milford on 4 April at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in
Mpumalanga.
