Former Chiefs Defender Tsotetsi Names Three Players Deserving of New Contracts

As Kaizer Chiefs face contract decisions on several players, former
Amakhosi defender Mokete Tsotetsi has singled out three individuals he
believes should be retained for the club’s rebuilding phase.

Players including Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Petersen, Dillan Solomons,
Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, and Pule Mmodi are approaching
the end of their deals in June. In an interview with PSLSA, Tsotetsi
emphasized the value of continuity and patience.

He strongly advocated for goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma, stating, “Bvuma, I think
there is still a lot in him to help the team. So if he is given the chance
to extend the contract, I think he still needs to be given the chance to
give back to the team.”

Tsotetsi also highlighted midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, acknowledging a
dip in form but expressing faith in his underlying talent. “We know what
he can do. So I think if he is given the chance as well, he will rise and
help the team and give the team silverware,” he added.

The former defender rounded out his shortlist with winger Pule Mmodi,
citing the energy he brings to the squad. “He has it in him, you know.
That energy that the team needs.”

Concluding his assessment, Tsotetsi said, “So those three that I have
mentioned, if given the chance to extend contracts, then I think they can
still add value in the team.”

Kaizer Chiefs have not yet announced which players will be offered new
contracts. The club has a recent history of taking a measured approach to
renewals, as demonstrated last season when George Matlou’s extension was
finalized only after the pre-season period.

With the season progressing, the coming months will be critical as the
club evaluates its squad and strategizes for the future.
