Chiefs Aim to Pile Pressure on Struggling Chippa in Premiership Return

Kaizer Chiefs return to Betway Premiership action this evening with a
trip to face bottom-placed Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

The Soweto giants head into the Wednesday night clash after securing their
first point in their CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign, drawing 1-1
with Zamalek SC this past Saturday. Their last league outing was a dominant
4-1 victory over Orbit College just before the recent international break.

Despite that big win, Chiefs find themselves in fifth place on the log and
will be looking for three points to close the gap on the teams above them.

Their opponents, Chippa United, are in desperate need of a turnaround. The
“Chilli Boys” extended their winless run to eight matches after a goalless
draw with Siwelele on Saturday. They sit at the foot of the table with just
one victory from their opening 14 fixtures of the season.
