Ndamane Stays Grounded Amid Sundowns Transfer Buzz

TS Galaxy defender Khulumani Ndamane is choosing to ignore the growing
transfer speculation linking him with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns, insisting
his primary focus remains on his performances on the pitch.

The 21-year-old has become one of the most sought-after young defenders
in the Betway Premiership. Reports from July indicated that Sundowns were
leading the race for his signature, with negotiations between the clubs
intensifying. Insider sources suggested a deal could even include a
loan-back option to TS Galaxy for the immediate future.

Sundowns are reportedly viewing Ndamane as a key part of their long-term
defensive rebuild, following his impressive 27 league appearances last
season that showcased his composure and physical presence. Orlando Pirates
have also been credited with an interest in the player.

The transfer talks were given public credence in August when TS Galaxy
chairman Tim Sukazi confirmed that discussions with Sundowns were underway.
Sukazi emphasized that his club is built on a model of developing and
selling top talent, having recently transferred Kamogelo Sebelebele and
Lebone Seema to Orlando Pirates. He assured that the club’s system is
designed to remain competitive despite such departures.

Amidst the boardroom negotiations, Ndamane is maintaining a level head. He
admitted that while the constant rumors can be distracting, he will not let
them affect his game.

“There are times when it becomes disturbing because if you focus on that too
much, you might end up forgetting about your duties on the field,” Ndamane
said. “I just tell myself that everything happening around me is because of
the hard work I’ve put in. People will always talk, but everything happens
in its own time. I just have to focus on playing football.”

For now, the young defender is keeping his feet firmly on the ground at a
club known for being a springboard to bigger opportunities. With new talents
like Seluleko Mahlambi and Lentswe Motaung emerging, TS Galaxy’s reputation
for a reliable talent pipeline ensures they are well-prepared for whatever
the future holds for Ndamane.
