Kodisang Finding Form in Portugal, Boosting Hopes for Permanent Move

After a challenging start, South African winger Kobamelo Kodisang is
beginning to make a strong impression in Portugal, enhancing his prospects
of securing a permanent transfer away from parent club Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 24-year-old, on loan at Primeira Liga side AVS, has battled a hamstring
injury that sidelined him for three matches earlier in the season. However,
since returning from the international break, Kodisang has made a decisive
impact.

He announced his return by coming off the bench to score in a 3-1 defeat to
FC Alverca. He then followed that up by finding the net again in his first
start for the club—a 7-0 victory in the Taca de Portugal (Portuguese Cup).

These crucial goals are expected to boost his confidence as he pushes for
his first league start. His resurgence comes at a vital time for AVS, who
are struggling in 18th place in the league standings.

While a source indicates that Kodisang would be open to making the move
permanent next season, a final decision is only expected at the end of the
campaign. For now, the primary focus for the winger is to continue his
positive momentum and get his European career firmly back on track.
