Kaizer Chiefs are poised to officially part ways with head coach
Nasreddine Nabi, bringing an end to weeks of speculation over his future at
the club.
According to Soccer Laduma sources, the club and the Tunisian mentor met
this week and finally reached a settlement agreement, with a formal
announcement expected within days.
“The delay in the separation was due to the two parties not agreeing on the
settlement terms,” a source revealed. “Eventually, they had to compromise,
and both sides have now reached an agreement to part ways.”
This conclusion follows a period of uncertainty that began in mid-September
when Chiefs confirmed Nabi was “not with the team” as internal discussions
continued. In his absence, assistant coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric
Kaze have been in charge, including for the recent Carling Knockout Cup
defeat to Stellenbosch FC.
With Nabi’s departure now finalized, the immediate focus shifts to who will
lead the team after the FIFA international break. It is unclear if the club
will stick with the interim duo or appoint a new head coach.
The Chiefs leadership is now managing the transition carefully before making
an official public statement.
