Potsane Nears Career Crossroads as Siwelele Contract Enters Final Six Months

Tebogo Potsane is edging closer to a crucial crossroads in his career as
his contract with Siwelele FC approaches its final stretch.

The experienced winger joined the club in August last year as a free agent
following his departure from Kaizer Chiefs, bringing with him valuable
top-flight experience. Since then, the 32-year-old has gradually worked his
way into the team and become an increasingly influential figure under head
coach Lehlohonolo Seema.

This season, Potsane has made 15 appearances across all competitions,
scoring two goals and providing three assists, showing steady improvement
with each outing. His recent performances suggest a player regaining
confidence and rhythm, with his work rate and attacking contributions
standing out.

One of his most notable displays came last weekend, when Siwelele held
Orlando Pirates to a hard-fought 1-1 draw at the Orlando Stadium. Potsane
was widely regarded as one of the team’s standout performers on the day,
making his mark at both ends of the pitch and providing an assist for
Vincent Pule’s goal after Pirates lost possession.

However, uncertainty now surrounds his future. A source close to the club
has confirmed to the Siya crew that Potsane has entered the final six months
of his contract, having originally signed a one-year deal upon arrival.

“He’s in the last six months now, and naturally, there are discussions
happening. The club is happy with his progress, but there’s also interest
from elsewhere,” the source revealed.

The Siya crew understands that while Siwelele are keen to extend the
winger’s stay, several clubs within the league are monitoring the situation
closely. With his form on the rise and his experience still highly valuable,
Potsane could soon find himself with multiple options on the table as the
season progresses.
