Ouaddou: New Pirates Signings “Fit and Ready” for Debut

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has assured supporters that
the club’s new signings are prepared for action and will be introduced
“quickly,” following their absence in Saturday’s goalless draw with
Sekhukhune United.

The Buccaneers’ three January arrivals—Mpho Chabatsane, Andre de Jong, and
Daniel Msendami—were not involved in the match that saw Pirates miss a
chance to reclaim top spot in the Betway Premiership. Chabatsane was an
unused substitute, while de Jong and Msendami were left out of the matchday
squad.

When asked about their integration, Ouaddou confirmed the players are up to
speed. “Quickly,” he told SuperSport regarding their potential involvement.
“I was happy with their preparation; they were with us in the camp, so they
are fit and ready. They just have to wait for when the coach and the team
need them.”

The Moroccan coach expressed confidence in the trio’s ability to contribute,
citing their competitiveness during the training camp. He also emphasized
that the signings align with the club’s strategic vision.

“They will come to help us for sure… Before coming to the club, we have a
scouting department focused on bringing in players who suit our identity and
possess the right qualities. Surely, we will be able to see them on the
pitch,” Ouaddou added.

Pirates will look to return to winning ways and potentially unleash their
new reinforcements next weekend when they face Magesi FC.
