Mamelodi Sundowns must now decide the next step for winger Kobamelo
Kodisang after his loan stint with Portuguese side AVS Futebol SAD ended
prematurely.
The 26-year-old is set to return to Chloorkop during the January transfer
window, but sources indicate the club has not yet determined whether he will
be reintegrated into the squad or sent out on another move.
“Yes, a return to Sundowns is possible, but at this stage nothing has been
finalised. It’s not yet clear whether he will stay at Sundowns or head back
to Portugal,” a source close to the player revealed.
Kodisang, who came through the Platinum Stars academy, has spent much of his
career in Portugal, having first moved to Europe in 2014. After signing for
Sundowns, he found first-team opportunities limited, leading to his loan to
AVS FS earlier this season, where he made four appearances across all
competitions.
With Sundowns reviewing their squad options this window, a decision on
Kodisang’s future is expected in the coming weeks.
