Bosnian striker Dženan Zajmović has made his return to South African
football, signing with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Cape Town City.
The forward, who previously played for TS Galaxy, has agreed to a deal
with the ambitious Cape-based club, as confirmed on the club’s official X
account.
In his first remarks since the move, Zajmović expressed his enthusiasm:
“I’m really excited and happy to be here and to join the journey the
club is on. It’s clear this is an ambitious environment, and that’s
exactly why I wanted to come. I want to be successful, and it feels like
everyone here shares that same mindset. The players, the owners, the
fans, we’re all aligned, and that’s what makes this place special.”
Zajmović’s signing signals Cape Town City’s intent as they push for
promotion and seek experienced firepower up front. His familiarity with
South African football is expected to aid his integration as the club aims
to build momentum in the second tier.
