Johannes’ Agent Dismisses January Exit Talk, Defender Focused on Sundowns Future

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Kegan Johannes will remain at the club for
the foreseeable future, with his agent stating there have been no
discussions over a January departure.

Amid speculation following his limited game time this season, Johannes’
representative Glyn Binkin has clarified that the 24-year-old is fully
committed to fighting for his place at Sundowns.

“There have been no discussions regarding him going anywhere in January, and
if any club is interested, they will contact myself and Sundowns
accordingly,” Binkin told PSLSA. “For now, Kegan is focused on Sundowns and
no one else.”

Since joining from SuperSport United last season, Johannes has struggled to
secure consistent minutes, with an injury also interrupting his progress.
This campaign, he has made only three appearances—one in the DStv
Premiership and two in the CAF Champions League.

Despite his peripheral role at club level, Johannes carries valuable
experience, having earned five senior caps for Bafana Bafana and featured
three times for the South African U-23 side.

For now, the versatile defender appears determined to prove his worth at
Chloorkop, with any talk of a mid-season move firmly dismissed.
