Kaizer Chiefs Chairman Dr. Kaizer Motaung Backs Bafana Bafana Ahead of Egypt AFCON Clash

Kaizer Chiefs Chairman, Dr. Kaizer Motaung, has sent a message of
encouragement and support to Bafana Bafana ahead of their crucial Africa Cup
of Nations match against Egypt this Friday, 26 December, in Morocco.

Bafana Bafana began their tournament campaign with a 2–1 win over Angola,
boosting confidence ahead of the highly anticipated encounter with the
seven-time African champions.

In a statement on the club’s official website, Motaung expressed pride in
the national team and conveyed the Amakhosi’s belief that Hugo Broos’ squad
is capable of overcoming a strong Egyptian side.

“We also send our best wishes to our national men’s team, Bafana Bafana, who
are currently in Morocco representing Mzansi at the Africa Cup of Nations,”
Motaung said. “We watched the opening game against Angola and now look
forward to the clash against Egypt on Family Day, 26 December.”

Drawing from Kaizer Chiefs’ own recent continental experience, the chairman
acknowledged the tough challenge posed by North African and Angolan
opposition, but reaffirmed his faith in the national team’s strength and
resilience.

“As Kaizer Chiefs, we know the challenges of playing against teams from
those countries after recently playing Kabuscorp of Angola and Zamalek and
Al Masry from Egypt,” he added. “Yet we believe in your strength and
resilience as South Africans to prevail.”
