Broos Heaps Praise on “Reliable” Ndamane, Reaffirms Key Role in Bafana Squad

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has reiterated his strong trust in
defender Khulumani Ndamane, commending the TS Galaxy player for his
consistent and dependable performances in the national team setup.

Ndamane, who continues to be linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns, put in
another solid display in South Africa’s recent friendly victory over Ghana,
further cementing his place in Broos’s plans.

The Belgian coach was unequivocal in his post-match assessment, highlighting
Ndamane’s flawless record whenever selected. “First of all, it’s already a
fantastic thing for him that he can go with Bafana-Bafana to AFCON.
Secondly, every game that Khulumani played, I was satisfied. Also today,
also the previous games that he played. So I’m very happy with him,” Broos
stated.

Broos emphasized the critical value of having such a reliable option in the
squad, providing crucial depth and flexibility. “I know that if there’s
something happening… I can always count on him. And he proved again today
that he deserves to be with us,” he added.

Drawing on the team’s past successes, the coach pointed to the importance of
impactful squad players. “You know that two years ago, we won games because
there were guys on the bench who came in and who decided the game. So I’m
very happy with him. If he’s playing or if he’s on the bench, I know always
that I can count on him.”

The endorsement solidifies Ndamane’s role as a trusted defensive asset for
Bafana as they prepare for their AFCON campaign.
