The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that tickets for the
upcoming Carling Knockout final are officially sold out.
The highly anticipated match, which will see Orlando Pirates take on Marumo
Gallants at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on December 6, is now set to be played
in front of a capacity crowd. The tickets were snapped up within just a few
hours of going on sale, continuing a recent trend where cup final tickets
sell out rapidly, particularly when one of South Africa’s “big three” clubs
is involved.
Orlando Pirates, fresh from their MTN8 triumph, are no strangers to playing
in packed stadiums this season and will be eager to claim another trophy. A
victory in the Carling Cup would put the Soweto giants in a strong position
to rekindle their historic treble-winning success.
With Pirates also firmly in the race for the Betway Premiership title, there
is plenty at stake for the team as they prepare for next weekend’s final
against Gallants.
