A resolution appears to be in sight regarding the departure of former
Chippa United coach Luc Eymael, with sources close to the Belgian manager
confirming that the financial settlement from his exit is being processed.
Eymael, who parted ways with the Chilli Boys last month, remained in
Gqeberha to finalize the administrative details of his severance agreement.
According to insiders, the agreement involves a structured payment plan to
be completed in phases.
Sources confirmed over the weekend that the latest instalment has been paid,
allowing the 66-year-old coach to make arrangements to return to Belgium
this week to attend to personal matters. With half of the settlement now
received, Eymael is hopeful the remaining balance will be settled by the end
of the month, as per the contract.
The veteran coach, who has had stints across Africa in countries like
Tanzania, Sudan, and the DRC, is reportedly relieved that the process is
advancing and remains optimistic for a smooth and final conclusion.
This development emerges against a backdrop of previous payment-related
concerns surrounding the club in recent years. However, Eymael is understood
to be solely focused on the completion of his own agreement before moving
on.
PSLSA had reached out to Chippa United for comment, but no response was
received at the time of publication.
