Chiefs’ Belief Pays Off as Goals Finally Match Performance, Says Kaze

Kaizer Chiefs coach Cedric Kaze has insisted his team’s performances
have been “exceptional” all season, with Tuesday’s 4-1 demolition of Orbit
College finally providing the clinical finish that was previously missing.

The emphatic victory at FNB Stadium left Amakhosi with just one defeat from
their opening 11 Betway Premiership matches. After the game, Kaze emphasized
that the quality of play had been consistently high, even during the team’s
struggles in front of goal.

“Since the beginning, the performances were there. It’s only the goals that
were probably missing,” Kaze told the media. He stressed the importance of
maintaining player confidence through those dry spells, stating, “You just
need to give them the confidence to go again… and show him that a bad
game, which can happen.”

Kaze also pointed to the return of key players from injury as a major factor
in the team’s improved sharpness. The comeback of defenders like Rushwin
Dortley and Given Msimango, alongside others, has raised the competitive
level in training, which he believes translates directly to match day.

The win over Orbit College served as a powerful demonstration of the
attacking potential Kaze had long believed in, suggesting that with a full
squad and renewed confidence, Chiefs have found the clinical edge to match
their solid foundation.
