Kaizer Chiefs’ interim co-coaches, Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze,
are grappling with a lengthy injury list and a concerning lack of goals as
they prepare for their upcoming Betway Premiership match against Siwelele.
Amakhosi are seeking their first league victory since August, but the task
is complicated by multiple absences. The club confirmed they will still be
without Paseka Mako, Ethan Chislett, George Matlou, Rushwin Dortley, and
Given Msimango due to injury. The fitness of Lebohang Maboe, Nkanyiso
Shinga, Luke Baartman, and Asanele Velebayi also remains in question.
In the predicted lineup, Brandon Petersen is expected to start in goal,
shielded by a back four of Dillan Solomons, Zitha Kwinika, Inacio Miguel,
and Bradley Cross.
The midfield is likely to see Sibongiseni Mthethwa anchoring, potentially
alongside Siphesihle Ndlovu, with Mduduzi Shabalala operating in the
creative number 10 role. The responsibility to lead the attack and solve the
team’s scoring troubles is expected to fall on Khanyisa Mayo.
Possible line-up: Petersen; Solomons, Kwinika, Miguel, Cross; Mthethwa,
Ndlovu; Mmodi, Shabalala, Lilepo; Mayo.
