The South African Football Association (SAFA) has announced a landmark
technical sponsorship agreement with global sportswear giant adidas, marking
a celebrated return to a iconic partnership.
SAFA CEO Lydia Monyepao heralded the deal as a powerful reunion built on
shared values. “This is more than just a sponsorship; it’s a homecoming to
the core principles of pride, resilience, and performance that define our
football,” Monyepao stated. “With adidas back in our story, we are poised to
inspire a nation, reinforcing the belief that every South African has what
it takes to succeed.”
The partnership also signals South Africa’s growing stature on the world
stage. “Aligning with a visionary brand like adidas strengthens our position
within global football,” Monyepao continued. “As we consistently compete in
top FIFA and CAF tournaments, this collaboration provides the innovative,
high-performance, and stylish support a modern footballing nation requires.”
The new adidas kit for all South African national teams will be unveiled in
March 2026. The comprehensive range will include match-day gear, training
wear, pre-match apparel, travel collections, and dedicated merchandise for
fans.
