Kaizer Chiefs will look to reignite their Betway Premiership campaign
this evening when they welcome AmaZulu to the FNB Stadium.
Both teams are coming into the match seeking a return to form. The Soweto
giants are without a win in their last two league outings, following a 1-1
draw with Marumo Gallants last week. However, they will draw confidence from
a recent CAF Confederation Cup victory, where they advanced on penalties
against Angola’s Kapuscorb.
Despite their recent league stutter, Chiefs hold a strong position in sixth
place and have two games in hand on many of the teams above them.
AmaZulu, on the other hand, will be aiming to bounce back from a
disappointing 3-1 defeat to TS Galaxy on Heritage Day. Coach Arthur Zwane
will have to navigate this crucial fixture without the services of Siyanda
Hlangabeza, who was sent off in that loss.
The stage is set for a compelling encounter as both sides vie for
much-needed points.
