Kaizer Chiefs head into their league clash with Marumo Gallants looking to
bounce back from a difficult run of results on both domestic and
continental fronts.
The Soweto giants suffered their first league defeat of the season last
week, going down 3-1 to Sekhukhune United at home. Just days later, they
were edged 1-0 by Kabuscorp in Angola during the first leg of their CAF
Confederation Cup preliminary round encounter.
To add to their challenges, Chiefs will be without head coach Nasreddine
Nabi, with assistants Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef set to take
charge from the touchline.
Gallants arrive at FNB Stadium also searching for momentum, as they remain
winless in their last five league outings. The Limpopo side’s most recent
result was a 1-1 draw with Orbit College, which left them sitting ninth on
the table.
